Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. A bright east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sunlight.
Water Requirements: Soak the plant in water for about 15 minutes every 1–2 weeks, adjusting for heat and dryness. Shake out excess water and allow the plant to dry completely before returning it to the basket.
Fertilizer: Use a diluted bromeliad or air-plant fertilizer once or twice a month during active growth.
Soil: No soil is needed. Keep the plant in its basket or on another breathable support that allows good airflow.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 55–85°F. Protect from frost and freezing temperatures.
Pet Safety: Generally considered Non-Toxic to pets.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is helpful, but good airflow is essential.
Growth Habit: A large, slow-growing air plant that forms a dramatic rosette of curling, silvery-gray leaves.
