Plant Care
Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light is best. It can tolerate 2-4 hours of gentle morning sun, but harsh afternoon sun may scorch the leaves. Low light causes leaf colors to fade and leaves may drop.
Water Requirements: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. Reduce watering slightly in winter.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength once a month during spring and summer. Do not fertilize in winter.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. A mix of regular potting soil with perlite and peat moss or coco coir works well. The pot should have drainage holes.
Temperature: Ideal range is 65-85 degrees. Avoid temperatures below 60 degrees and keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Pet Safety: Toxic
