Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. Gentle direct morning sunlight is beneficial, but protect the plant from intense afternoon sun.
Water Requirements: Soak the entire plant thoroughly about once a week, then shake out excess water and allow it to dry completely before returning it to its display. Increase watering during hot, dry conditions.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted air-plant or bromeliad fertilizer about once a month during active growth.
Soil: No soil is needed. Display on a breathable surface or in an open container that allows plenty of airflow.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 55–85°F. Protect from frost and freezing temperatures.
Pet Safety: Generally considered Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is helpful, but good airflow is essential.
Growth Habit: A small, rosette-forming air plant with narrow silvery-green leaves. As it prepares to flower, the inner foliage can turn a brilliant red.
