Plant Care
Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the fronds.
Water Requirements: Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, but not soggy. Water when the top 1/2 - 1 inch of soil begins to dry. Never let it dry out completely.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength once a month during spring and summer. Do not fertilize in fall and winter.
Soil: Use a well-draining soil, peat-based potting mix with added perlite or bark. The soil should retain some moisture while allowing excess water to drain.
Temperature: Keep between 60-75 degrees. Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 55 degrees.
Pet Safety: Generally considered non-toxic, however chewing the leaves may cause mild stomach upset, however not considered poisonous.
