Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect or filtered light. Gentle morning sunlight is acceptable, but avoid hot direct afternoon sun.
Water Requirements: Soak for about 20–30 minutes approximately once a week, then shake the plant thoroughly to remove water from its bulbous base. Allow it to dry completely before returning it to its display.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted air-plant or bromeliad fertilizer once a month during active growth.
Soil: No soil is needed. Keep the plant mounted or displayed where air can circulate freely.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60–85°F. Protect from frost and freezing temperatures.
Pet Safety: Generally considered Non-Toxic to pets.
Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity but requires excellent airflow.
Growth Habit: A distinctive air plant with a swollen, bulb-like base and narrow, twisting green leaves. It can form attractive clumps over time.
