Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect or filtered light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and fade the variegation.
Water Requirements: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the surface to dry slightly before watering again. Avoid letting the plant dry out completely.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted balanced or low-nitrogen houseplant fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during active growth. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a rich, well-draining houseplant mix that retains moderate moisture.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Pet Safety: Keep away from pets that chew plants.
Humidity: Prefers high humidity, ideally around 60% or higher. A humidifier is especially helpful during dry indoor conditions.
Growth Habit: An upright, clumping tropical plant with long, colorful leaves that fold upward at night.
