Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light is best. Can tolerate some gentle morning/evening sun, but avoid harsh direct afternoon sun.

Water Requirements: Water when the growing medium feels mostly dry. Soak thoroughly and allow it to drain. mounted staghorns can be soaked for about 15-30 minutes, then allowed to dry somewhat before watering again.

Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer about 1/2 strength. Reduce feeding in fall/winter.

Soil: Unlike most ferns, staghorns are epiphytic. They prefer a loose, airy medium such as orchid bard + sphagnum moss + a little coco coir. They can also be mounted directly onto wood with sphagnum moss.

Temperature: Prefers 65-80 degrees. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 50 degrees.
