Plant Care
Light Requirements: Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light but may produce fewer flowers. Avoid strong direct sunlight.
Water Requirements: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil begin to dry. Peace Lilies appreciate consistent moisture but should not remain waterlogged.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a rich, well-draining houseplant potting mix that holds some moisture without becoming soggy.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 55°F.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Peace Lilies contain insoluble calcium oxalates that can cause mouth irritation, drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. A humidifier can help maintain healthy foliage in dry indoor environments.
Growth Habit: A lush, clumping tropical plant with glossy green leaves and elegant white flower-like spathes that rise above the foliage.
