Plant Care

Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. A little gentle morning sun is fine.

Water Requirements: Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, but never soggy. Water when the top 1/2-1 inch of soil feels slightly dry. Avoid letting it completely dry out.

Fertilizer: Feed once a month during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted houseplant fertilizer. Stop or reduce feeding in fall/winter.

Soil: Use a light, airy, well-draining potting mix. African violet mix works very well. You can add perlite for extra drainage.

Temperature: Prefers 65-80 degrees. Protects from cold drafts and temperatures below 55 degrees.
