Plant Care
Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and cause fading. Lower light is tolerated, but growth may slow.
Water Requirements: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 102 inches begins to dry. Calatheas prefer filtered, distilled, or rainwater because they can be sensitive to minerals and chemicals in tap water.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, diluted houseplant fertilizer about once a month during spring and summer. Reduce or stop fertilizing during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a rich, well-draining soil mix that retains some moisture. A mix of potting soil, coco coir/peat, and perlite works well.
Temperature: Prefers 65-80 degrees. Keep away from cold drafts, heating vents, and sudden temperature changes.
Pet Safety: Pet safe!
