Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright light with several hours of direct or filtered sunlight each day. Gradually acclimate plants to stronger sunlight.
Water Requirements: Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly when dry and allow excess water to drain completely. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted cactus or succulent fertilizer once a month during spring and summer. Reduce or stop fertilizing during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent soil mix.
Temperature: Most varieties prefer temperatures around 60–85°F. Protect from frost, freezing temperatures, and cold drafts.
Pet Safety: Pet safety varies by variety. Some cacti and succulents are non-toxic while others may be irritating or toxic if ingested. Cactus spines can also cause injury.
Humidity: Average household humidity is generally suitable. Avoid excessively humid conditions.
Growth Habit: Typically trailing, cascading, or spreading, making these plants well suited for hanging baskets, shelves, and elevated displays.
