Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. Brighter light generally encourages stronger foliage color, but avoid harsh direct sun.
Water Requirements: Keep the central rosette cup filled with fresh water and refresh it regularly. Allow the potting mix to dry somewhat between waterings.
Fertilizer: Feed lightly with a diluted, low-nitrogen bromeliad fertilizer during active growth. Avoid concentrated fertilizer in the center cup.
Soil: Use a light, porous, well-draining bromeliad or orchid mix.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60–85°F. Protect from cold drafts and freezing temperatures.
Pet Safety: Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity with good airflow.
Growth Habit: A compact, rosette-forming bromeliad grown primarily for its colorful foliage. The center of the rosette often becomes more intensely colored as the plant approaches flowering.
