Plant Care

Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water Requirements: Keep the soil lightly moist, but never soggy. Guzmanias also hold water in their central cup. Refresh the water in the cup regularly and use distilled, filtered, or rainwater when possible.

Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer about once a month during active growth. Avoid heavy fertilizing.

Soil: Use a loose, fast draining bromeliad or orchid mix. A mix containing orchid bark, perlite, and peat/coco coir works well.

Temperature: Prefers 65-80 degrees. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 55 degrees.
