Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect or filtered light. Gentle morning sunlight is acceptable, but avoid harsh direct afternoon sun.
Water Requirements: Unlike many air plants, Pink Quill is commonly grown in a pot and prefers moderate moisture. Water when the growing medium begins to dry and allow excess water to drain completely.
Fertilizer: Feed lightly with a diluted bromeliad fertilizer about once a month during active growth.
Soil: Use a very light, airy bromeliad or orchid-style mix containing bark or other coarse materials. Avoid dense potting soil.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60–85°F. Protect from cold drafts and freezing temperatures.
Pet Safety: Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity and good airflow.
Growth Habit: A compact bromeliad that forms a rosette of narrow green leaves with a striking pink quill-shaped flower bract and small purple flowers.
