Plant Care

Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light is best. They can tolerate lower light, but growth will be slower and leaves may become smaller. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can burn leaves.

Water Requirements: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Keep soil lightly most but not soggy. Reduce watering in winter. Yellow leaves often mean overwatering.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer about once a month during spring and summer. Use less or stop during winter when growth slows.

Soil: Use a well-draining, airy mix. A good blend: potting soil + perlite + orchid bark or coco coir. Philodendrons like moisture but need oxygen around their roots.

Temperature: Prefers 65-80 degrees. Protect from cold drafts, air conditioners, and temperatures below 55 degrees.

Pet Safety: Toxic
