Plant Care

Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light is ideal. It can tolerate 2-4 hours of gentle morning sun, but harsh afternoon sun may scorch the leaves. Indoors, place it near a south or west facing window with filtered light.

Water Requirements: Water only when the soil is completely dry. During spring and summer, this is usually every 2-3 weeks. In winter, water about once every 4-6 weeks. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems.

Fertilizer: Feed lightly once or twice during spring and summer with a balanced cactus/succulent fertilizer diluted to half strength. No fertilizer is needed in fall or winter.

Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix. You can improve drainage by adding perlite or pumice. a pot with drainage holes is essential.

Temperature: Prefers 65-80 degrees. Protect it from frost and temperatures below 40 degrees.
