Plant Care

Light Requirements: Provide bright light with several hours of direct or filtered sunlight each day. A sunny south- or west-facing window is ideal indoors. Gradually acclimate plants to stronger sunlight to prevent leaf burn.

Water Requirements: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry, then allow excess water to drain completely. Avoid frequent light watering and standing water.

Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted cactus or succulent fertilizer once a month during spring and summer. Reduce or stop fertilizing during fall and winter.

Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent soil mix. Adding perlite or pumice can improve drainage and help prevent root rot.

Temperature: Most succulents prefer temperatures around 60–85°F. Protect from frost, freezing temperatures, and cold drafts.

Pet Safety: Pet safety varies by succulent variety. Some are non-toxic to cats and dogs, while others may cause irritation or illness if ingested. Keep plants away from pets unless the specific variety has been identified as pet-safe.

Humidity: Average household humidity is generally suitable. Avoid consistently humid conditions and provide good airflow around the plant.

Growth Habit: Assorted succulents may grow as compact rosettes, upright stems, trailing plants, or branching forms. Their variety of colors, textures, and shapes makes them ideal for windowsills, desks, shelves, and decorative plant displays.
