Plant Care

Light Requirements: Provide bright light with several hours of direct or filtered sunlight each day. A sunny windowsill is ideal. If grown indoors, gradually acclimate plants to stronger direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.

Water Requirements: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry, then allow excess water to drain away. Avoid frequent small amounts of water and never let the plant sit in standing water.

Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted balanced succulent or cactus fertilizer once a month during spring and summer. Little to no fertilizer is needed during fall and winter.

Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent soil mix. Adding perlite, pumice, or coarse sand can improve drainage and prevent root rot.

Temperature: Most mini succulents prefer temperatures around 60–80°F. Protect them from frost, freezing temperatures, and cold drafts.

Pet Safety: Pet safety varies by succulent variety. Some are non-toxic to cats and dogs, while others can be irritating or toxic if ingested. Identify the specific variety before placing it within reach of pets.

Humidity: Average household humidity is generally suitable. Avoid consistently high humidity and provide good airflow around the plant.

Growth Habit: Mini succulents can grow as compact rosettes, upright stems, trailing plants, or clumping forms depending on the variety. Their small size makes them ideal for windowsills, desks, shelves, and miniature plant arrangements.
