Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect or filtered light indoors. Several hours of gentle sunlight can be beneficial, but protect the leaves from intense afternoon sun.
Water Requirements: Keep the soil evenly moist but well drained. Water when the surface begins to dry and allow excess water to drain completely.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced palm fertilizer during spring and summer according to product directions. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a well draining palm or tropical houseplant mix.
Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures around 65–85°F. Protect from frost, freezing temperatures, and cold drafts.
Pet Safety: Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity but can adapt to average indoor conditions.
Growth Habit: An elegant tropical palm with a smooth gray trunk and long, arching, feather-like fronds. Mature plants can produce clusters of bright red fruit.
