Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright light, preferably several hours of direct or filtered sunlight each day. A sunny window is ideal.
Water Requirements: Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Water deeply and allow excess water to drain completely. The swollen trunk stores water, so avoid overwatering.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted balanced fertilizer once or twice a month during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent soil mix.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60–80°F. Protect from frost, freezing temperatures, and prolonged temperatures below about 50°F.
Pet Safety: Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Average household humidity is suitable, and high humidity is not required.
Growth Habit: A slow-growing succulent with a swollen, water-storing trunk and long, narrow leaves that arch outward like a ponytail.
