Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect light. Protect the fronds from strong direct afternoon sunlight.
Water Requirements: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the surface begins to dry and allow excess water to drain completely.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced palm fertilizer during spring and summer according to product directions. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a rich, moisture retentive but well draining houseplant or palm mix.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65–85°F. Protect from cold drafts and direct heat sources.
Pet Safety: Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Prefers high humidity and may develop brown leaf tips when the air is too dry.
Growth Habit: An elegant palm with long, arching, feather-like fronds. Indoor specimens develop a lush, tropical appearance and grow relatively slowly compared with palms in their native environment.
