Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. Protect from strong direct sunlight.
Water Requirements: Water thoroughly when the plant and mounting medium begin to dry. Mounted plants may need more frequent watering than potted plants. Allow them to drain and dry between waterings.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted balanced fern or houseplant fertilizer about once a month during active growth.
Soil: No traditional soil is required when mounted. Staghorn Ferns can be grown in sphagnum moss or another airy epiphytic medium.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60–80°F. Protect from freezing temperatures and cold drafts.
Pet Safety: Non-Toxic to cats and dogs.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity with good air circulation.
Growth Habit: An epiphytic fern that produces broad shield fronds and distinctive antler-like fertile fronds. Mounted specimens create a striking living-wall display.
