Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect light. A bright filtered window is ideal indoors. Avoid sudden changes in light or location, which can cause leaf drop.
Water Requirements: Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the surface to dry slightly before watering again and avoid letting the plant become completely dry.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during active growth in spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a rich, well-draining houseplant mix. Adding perlite or coarse material can improve drainage.
Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures around 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Pet Safety: Generally considered Non-Toxic; however, avoid allowing pets to chew or ingest large amounts of plant material.
Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity and may develop brown leaf tips in very dry indoor air.
Growth Habit: A bushy, upright evergreen tree with delicate looking foliage divided into many small glossy leaflets. Regular pruning can encourage a fuller shape.
