Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect or filtered light. Good light helps encourage and maintain attractive pink variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
Water Requirements: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry slightly before watering. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain completely. Avoid keeping the soil constantly soggy.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a loose, chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65–85°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 60°F.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity and benefits from good airflow.
Growth Habit: A climbing or spreading Philodendron with large, heart-shaped leaves. New foliage may emerge burgundy and develop darker green coloring with pink variegation as it matures.
