Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. A few hours of gentle direct morning light can be beneficial, but acclimate gradually to stronger sun.
Water Requirements: Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain completely.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer during active growth in spring and summer. Avoid excessive fertilizer buildup in the soil.
Soil: Use a well-draining, chunky mix with plenty of organic matter. An aroid mix with bark and perlite works well.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 60–85°F. Protect from cold temperatures and drafts.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, although mature plants can adapt to average household conditions.
Growth Habit: A vigorous climbing vine with large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves that develop natural splits and holes as they mature. A moss pole or other support can encourage larger foliage.
