Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. A few hours of gentle direct sunlight can be beneficial, but protect from intense afternoon sun.
Water Requirements: Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry slightly before watering. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain completely.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer about every 4 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a well draining houseplant mix with good airflow around the roots.
Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures around 65–85°F. Protect from cold drafts and sudden changes in temperature.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity. Protect from very dry indoor air when possible.
Growth Habit: An evergreen indoor tree with small, glossy leaves and a naturally upright, bushy form. The braided trunk creates an attractive decorative shape.
