Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
Water Requirements: Water thoroughly when the top 1 inch of soil becomes dry. Allow excess water to drain completely and avoid keeping the soil constantly soggy.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer about once a month during active growth in spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Soil: Use a loose, rich, well-draining houseplant mix.
Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures around 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 60°F.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Dieffenbachia contains compounds that can cause intense mouth irritation, drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity.
Growth Habit: An upright, bushy tropical foliage plant with large leaves marked with attractive cream, white, and green variegation.
