Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide bright, diffused or indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight.
Water Requirements: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to become slightly dry before watering thoroughly. Keep the soil moist during active growth without leaving it waterlogged.
Fertilizer: Feed with a liquid houseplant fertilizer about once a month during spring and summer. Reduce or stop feeding during winter.
Soil: Use an open, chunky, well draining mix that retains moderate moisture, such as an aroid mix with bark and perlite.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity.
Growth Habit: A large, clumping tropical plant with broad heart-shaped leaves, lighter green veins, and striking burgundy undersides.
