Plant Care
Light Requirements: Provide at least 6 hours of bright sunlight daily whenever possible. Strong light helps maintain compact growth and flowering.
Water Requirements: Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain completely. Reduce watering substantially during winter dormancy.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced or flowering-plant fertilizer during spring and summer. Reduce or stop feeding during winter.
Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures around 65–85°F. Protect from cold temperatures and never expose the plant to freezing conditions.
Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Humidity: Average household humidity is suitable. Avoid prolonged wet or humid conditions.
Growth Habit: A sculptural succulent shrub with a swollen caudex, branching stems, and showy flowers in shades of pink, red, white, or yellow.
